Cotillion Gloves – Best Option

Cotillion Glove
With Cotillion class enrollment ramping up before school starts, we always get numerous phone calls from new directors asking which model gloves they should purchase.
Although we have many options in our Cotillion category, the best and most popular model is our White Unisex Stretch Nylon gloves (NYP-404) in Small/Medium size. This model offers a quality classic look and since they stretch, they will fit almost every child.
The other benefit of the NYP-404 gloves is that they have a nice cotton like feel and they come individually packaged by the pair for easy storage and administration.
As a footnote, we do have nice cotton models, but they are not as size friendly when you don’t know the sizes of each child.

We are also an official recognized supplier by the National League of Junior Cotillions.
As always, feel free to give us a call if you need any additional assistance.

Catering Gloves

https://www.gloves-online.com/

Catering Gloves have always been a large part of our business for many years.
Customers have often bought what they liked but had to scroll through our vast listings to find the models they desired.
In order to make it easier, we’ve now added a new quick search link on our Home Page in our left hand navigation panel. We’ve even made it simple by breaking the options in the drop down menu down to two preferences.
Both links include the most popular glove models used by food servers including our popular dotted palm models which grasp plates without slippage and speed up serving time.
The same gloves have always been listed under our Food Service Glove category under General Purpose gloves in our navigation links and that category also includes other gloves such as cut resistant and disposable gloves that are used in the food service industry.

Why you should wear rubber gloves at home

https://www.gloves-online.com/

Dish washing is a pretty mundane chore, but many choose to do it with bare hands. However there are a numerous reasons why it’s not a good idea. Here are a few reasons why you should slip on a pair of rubber gloves before you pick up a scrubbing brush.

First, I’m not necessarily talking about medical type disposable gloves although they will work. I’m talking about a more robust pair of rubber gloves since they will last a very long time and be more comfortable and easier to slip on and remove. Plus, they are more durable and can be used for other house chores. At the end of this brief, I will list the gloves my better-half simply loves to use.

1. You’ll use hotter water
Rubber gloves give you some protection from heat so you can run the water nice and hot. The warmer the water, the easier it is to clean.

2. Your hands won’t dry out
Immersing your hands in warm water daily has an impact on your skin. Gloves protect your hands.

5. Protection from sharps
While they don’t give you 100 per cent protection, gloves offer some coverage when you’re dealing with broken plates, glass, and sharp utensils.

6. You’ll have better grip
Gloves help you keep a steady hold on your plates and cutlery.

Black cotton gloves sales surge with food servers

https://www.gloves-online.com/catalog/food-service-gloves

For years we have served the food service and hospitality industry with our popular white cotton gloves which are widely used by waiters and waitresses.
This past year, we’ve seen a dramatic increase in sales to the same customers for black gloves. I’m told that this is due to cost savings since the black gloves generally hide any staining from the food and still look elegant.
Our black cotton models come in standard versions and dotted versions for gripping and are available in wrist length and 12” length. All are unisex sized.

Animal & Raptor Handling Gloves

Animal & Raptor Handling Gloves
I’m proud to introduce new gloves specifically designed for animal handling. They were made by popular demand by Caiman Gloves, one the leading welding glove manufacturers in the USA.
What they did was modify their popular 21” welding glove and added extra protection that a welder wouldn’t require. The main additions are a Triple-Layered Cuff and added reinforcements in the fingers and palm.
The popularity of the Caiman gloves are their patented designs specifically involving mimicking the natural curvature of the hands for added comfort.
Besides being a high-quality, long-life, durable glove, they offer a price that is half the price of other animal handling gloves available.
See our listing for more features and benefits on these gloves.

Updated EN 388 Standard for Protective Gloves

https://www.gloves-online.com/catalog/cut-resistant-gloves
The European Standard for Protective Gloves, EN 388, was updated on November 2, 2016 and is now in the process of being ratified by each member country. Glove manufacturers selling in Europe, have two years to comply with the new EN 388 2016 standard. Regardless of this allotted adjustment period, many leading manufacturers will immediately start using revised markings on gloves. Therefore, we thought it would be wise to provide this information now to help avoid any confusion.
The good thing is that the new markings will include the old markings with the added two new testing results added at the end for the new TDM-100 Cut test and the new Impact Protection test.
Unless someone can convince me otherwise, I have found that the old EN 388 standard and markings provided an excellent guide for our customers in the USA.  However, for the sake of proper technical information I have provided both markings as a guide.
As far as impact protection (the last letter), it is a simple P for Passed; F for Failed; or X for Not Tested.

GO Gloves purchases totally secure

https://www.gloves-online.com/

Effective this week, all pages and links on GO Gloveshave been completely encrypted with the new HTTPS protocol. This also includes our Industrial Glove web site.
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. The ‘S’ at the end of HTTPS stands for ‘Secure’. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted.
Although our web site has been encrypted for years, we have now converted to the new (HTTPS) standard which is becoming the new safe benchmark for the increase in mobile transactions. With this implementation you will now see a lock box on your browser link and this is something you want to look for on all web sites where you shop.

We thank you for your support and your business and we look forward to a successful 2017.

FDA bans powdered medical gloves

http://www.gloves-online.com/catalog/disposable-gloves
The FDA has determined that powdered surgeon’s gloves, powdered patient examination gloves, and absorbable powder for lubricating a surgeon’s glove present an unreasonable and substantial risk of illness or injury and that the risk cannot be corrected or eliminated by labeling or a change in labeling.
Consequently, the FDA is banning these devices.
I noticed that the rule was proposed back in March but it was officially ruled on today and becomes effective on January 18, 2017.
